Game to travel a little further? Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta is back October 4-12 to see spectacular color in the sky 🎈@albuquerqueballoonfiesta @visitabq . And when else can you see an 150 year old tradition seeing 1,500 sheep 🐑 hoofing down Main Street than at Idaho’s unique Trailing of the Sheep festival Oct. 8-12 @visitidaho. I also have Tualatin, Oregon on my radar where people carve out thousand-pound pumpkins and paddle down the river in them at the West Coast Pumkin Regatta Oct. 19 @tualatinvalley ! 🎃🛶 Sign me up!
Denverites know this weekend is week two of Denver Oktoberfest 🍻! If you really want to be in the center of the action, skip over to Germany on a 10 hour direct flight to Munich as the Oktoberfest festivities continue through Oct. 5. 😉 Fun to sport a dirndl or lederhosen and explore beer tents big and small and beer gardens, too. Can you believe Oktoberfest began 190 years ago?

I’m a big fan of the Historic Highlights of Germany @historicgermany , a collection of cities with small town charm, I have short series on four of them! @germanytourism I also loved exploring Germany by river on a Viking @vikingcruises cruise, such a magical way to travel. 🚢
