With holiday travel ahead and flight cancelations and delays on the rise to insure safety given staffing shortages due to the government shutdown, it’s especially important to plan ahead. Pack your patience and give yourself extra time. ⌚️ Download your airline’s app for up to the minute updates 📲 and check security wait times so you know what to expect. Consider having a backup ticket 🎫 , booking refundable options or book on points so you can stay flexible. I’m a fan of booking two one ways rather than a roundtrip ticket, too. In case you need to make a change, you aren’t subject to price increases for both legs. For some, getting behind the wheel and planning a road trip to avoid the airport might make sense. Also consider travel insurance to minimize risk in the event of a long delay or cancelation.

You got this! Happy travels! ✈️
