Happy Colorado Day! Colorado turns 149 Years Old!

HBD Colorado! 🎂 Fun to celebrate Colorado Day marking the state’s 149th Birthday at Denver Union Station last Friday. 🎉

We kicked things off with a walking tour around LoDo with Historic Denver. Then enjoyed a delicious Taste of Union Station, bites and beverage pairings from each of Denver Union Station restaurants and bars: Mercantile, Ultreia, Olive & Finch, Milkbox Ice Creamery, Baumé, The Cooper Lounge, Terminal Bar and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. Have you been to them all yet? Yum!

I made friends with interesting characters straight out of Meow Wolf while listening to Adam Revell on the grand piano and tunes by DJ Chris Cockroft—plus, a performance by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance! Totally my kind of party! 🎉

The event benefited the Union Station Foundation, supporting nonprofits that carry on the legacy of Dana Crawford, including education, the arts, historic preservation and offering services to community members experiencing homelessness. 👊

Imagine the celebration we’ll have next year when Colorado turns 150 on August 1st, 2026! 🎂🎉🎈

Happy early sesquicentennial, Colorado! Maybe I’ll learn how to say it correctly by then. 🤣
