Last week, DHS announced the end of the ‘Shoes-Off’ travel policy, so it’s no longer required to kick off your shoes when going through TSA security. 👟
A reminder, as of May, it’s necessary to have a REAL ID to board a plane. Colorado has been REAL ID compliant since 2013, look for a star in the upper right hand corner.
Here in Denver at @denairport , if you don’t have TSA Pre✅ or CLEAR, you can still fast track the security line through DEN Reserve. Make a reservation up to 14 days in advance to access the quick lane in the West Security 2 on Level 6.
When it comes to getting to the airport, I’m a big fan of the @ridertd A Line Train from downtown Union Station to Denver International Airport. This direct 37 minute voyage is $10 for a standard ticket.
In case you have extra time to kill at the airport, take note of all the many cool Denver restaurants, including a speakeasy bar! Williams and Graham @williamsandgraham has a new location in Terminal A, where you can enjoy a craft cocktail 🍸 if you can find the entrance behind the book store 😉. There are also outdoor spaces with seating and fire pits for a breath of fresh air and plane spotting. ✈️📸👊
I hope these travel tips are helpful for your next airplane adventure. Happy Travels!
